About
Built by a working CNC shop — not a software company.
Dalloway Advanced Systems is the software venture of Dalloway Precision Engineering, a real CNC machine shop in Lye, West Midlands. DMOS — the operating system this whole site is about — isn't something we dreamed up and went looking for customers for. It's the system that runs our own shop, turned into a product because other shop owners kept asking for it.
We didn't set out to make software
We set out to run our own shop better. Like most precision shops our size, we were holding it together with spreadsheets, a quoting process that lived in one person's head, a quality system that was half in Word and half in a filing cabinet, and a job that touched five disconnected tools between enquiry and invoice. We went looking for something built for a shop our size that connected the whole thing — and couldn't find it. The enterprise systems were built for plants ten times our size; the cheap tools were built for offices, not floors. So we built our own.
It runs our shop every day
This is the part that makes DMOS different, and it's not marketing: we use it ourselves, on real jobs, every day. We quote with it. We run jobs through it. We get our ISO 9001 surveillance audits with it. Which means we feel every rough edge and every broken data-flow the moment it bites — because we're the ones living with it, not a support queue hearing about it second-hand. Every feature earns its place on our own floor before it ships to anyone else.
Honesty is the whole point
We sell to precision engineers, who can smell a rounded number and a sales pitch from across the workshop — rightly. So we'd rather tell you what we're not: we're a small company, not a household name. We're not ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified yet, and we say so on our security page. Our AI estimator is good but still being hardened. We won't dress a demo up with a fictional ROI table. The trade is simple: you get software built by people who've done the work, and the truth about where it's strong and where it isn't.
Who you're dealing with
When you email us, you reach Morgan — the shop owner who built DMOS — not a ticket system. That's not a growth-hack promise about "founder-led support"; it's just the size we are. If you want to talk to the person whose shop this runs, you can, today.
And the honest reassurance that comes with being small: your data is never locked inside us. You can export everything to CSV any time, so you're never trapped by our size — you stay because it's worth staying.
