DAS QMS · The quality system
Pass your ISO 9001 audit in three hours, not three days.
DAS QMS is the quality system your auditor wishes every shop ran. Defects, NCRs, CAPA, FAI, calibration, complaints, training — every clause of ISO 9001:2015 covered, every record audit-ready, every linkage traced.
Built for ISO 9001:2015 · Most AS9100 clauses already covered — talk to us if that's you · Proven in a real £2M CNC operation
The audit is in three weeks and your QMS is in three different places.
Defects are in a yellow pad on the QM's desk. NCRs are Word docs on the shared drive. The FAI for the bracket job is somewhere in your inbox. Calibration certificates are in the metrology cabinet. CAPAs are "yeah, we did one of those, give me a minute." You'll pass — you always do — but the three days before the auditor arrives are hell, and you couldn't show a serious customer your whole quality system in one place if they asked.
What it does
Built around the standard, not bolted on.
Every clause of ISO 9001:2015 is covered, and the audit pack the auditor asks for is one click away.
Defects & NCRs
An operator-friendly defect form auto-stamps job, machine, operator and time — and fires an admin notification when quantity climbs or severity escalates. Promote to an NCR through open → investigating → disposition → CAPA → closed, with close-blockers that prevent premature closure.
Dispositions & CAPA
Use-as-is, rework, scrap, return-to-vendor or concession — rationale captured, audit trail per decision. Each corrective and preventive action chain ties back to its source NCR, gets an owner, and must be verified effective before it closes.
First Article Inspection
FAI per part-revision, auto-created on the first run. Characteristic-level evidence — bubble number, nominal, tolerance, measured value, instrument used, pass or fail — that prints straight onto the Certificate of Conformance.
Calibration & tool life
A gauge register with last-calibrated, next-due and cycle: overdue flagged red, due-soon amber, out-of-service with a reason. Tool wear is tracked per shift-close with per-op-code applicability and replacement reminders as the life curve trends down.
Complaints & H&S
Customer complaints run open → investigating → pending response → closed with a customer-satisfied flag, auto-linking to the source NCR or CAPA. H&S incidents cover near-misses, accidents and RIDDOR-reportable events with categorisation and investigation workflow.
Training, documents & audits
Operator competencies per op-code with expiry tracking — and "can't clock onto op X without competency Y" enforced through DASTime. Versioned document control with an audit log on every change, plus internal audits and a management-review structure per clause 9.3.
The audit pack the auditor asks for — one click.
At surveillance time, click Audit-Ready Export and DMOS bundles all NCRs and CAPAs for the period, FAI evidence for every part run, calibration status for every gauge, complaint records, internal-audit findings, management-review minutes, the training matrix and document version history into a single hyperlinked PDF with sequential clause coverage. The yellow pads, the shared-drive Word docs, the out-of-date calibration spreadsheet and the pre-audit panic week all go away.
And every record already knows its context. Raise a defect from a job and it's linked to the part-revision, machine and operator. Promote it to an NCR and the lineage carries through; add a CAPA and it's linked to the NCR, the job and the customer. Five years of audit evidence with zero re-typing — the difference between a QMS module and a QMS that's part of the same system as your jobs.
How it works
From shop-floor flag to closed-out CAPA.
A quality issue moves through DAS QMS with its full lineage intact — no re-keying, no hunting through emails.
Capture on the floor
An operator raises a defect in one screen capture. It auto-stamps the job, part-revision, machine, operator and time — and if quantity hits three or severity escalates, an admin notification fires straight away.
Investigate & disposition
Promote the defect to an NCR carrying the full lineage. Record the disposition with rationale, link a CAPA, assign an owner. Close-blockers keep it open until there's a disposition and a verified, effective CAPA.
Export audit-ready evidence
When surveillance week comes, click Audit-Ready Export. Every clause's evidence — NCRs, CAPAs, FAIs, calibration, complaints, training, documents — bundles into one hyperlinked PDF. Three hours, not three days.
