DASFind · Inventory & stores

Know what's in stock. Know where it is. Know what to order.

DASFind is the stockroom-and-stores arm of DMOS. Bin-level stock, multi-location balances, picks, kits and stock takes. The "is the EN24T here yet?" walk to the metal store ends today.

Real-time stock for 5–30 employee UK precision shops · Tied to live jobs · Tablet-first for the iPad on the wall

You're a stockroom away from knowing if you can ship Friday's job.

Stock balances live in a spreadsheet someone updated last Wednesday. The bin location is in someone's head. When a job hits production and the operator walks to the store, half the time the material's there — the other half it's been used on another job and no-one wrote it down. So you order a backup batch just in case, and it sits on the shelf for six months tying up cash. DASFind is your real-time stock view: bin-level accurate, multi-location aware, tied to live jobs so you know what's earmarked.

What it does

Stock you can trust.

Bin-level balances across every location, tied to live jobs — with the audit trail ISO 9001 wants baked in.

Multi-location balances

Raw stores, in-process WIP, finished goods and off-site stores — each with per-location quantities and bin coordinates. Move stock between locations and the transfer is recorded with a full audit trail.

Catalog

Raw materials, finished goods, tooling and consumables. Each item carries a minimum stock and reorder point, a primary supplier and a default unit cost. Filter by category, low stock or zero stock in a click.

Picks & kits

Issue materials to a job from inside DMOS. The stock balance auto-decrements, and the material consumption flows straight back into DASBridge's job costing — no reconciliation spreadsheet.

Stock takes

A tablet-friendly stock-take workflow: count by location, reconcile to records, capture every adjustment with a reason. ISO 9001 evidence baked in, and an end to the year-end stock take from hell.

Negative-stock alerts & activity log

Paper-based shops often carry negative theoretical stock — DASFind flags it on the dashboard so you can fix it. Every receipt, issue, transfer and adjustment is logged with operator, timestamp and reason.

Reorder workflow

When stock drops below its reorder point, DASFind flags it. One click raises a PO in DASBridge that goes to the supplier — and the goods-in receipt tops the stock balance back up automatically.

Every issue links back to a job. Every job knows its materials.

Because DASFind is part of DMOS, materials on a job's pull-list come straight from the DASBridge BOM, stock issues update job costing live, reorder triggers raise POs in DASBridge purchasing, and goods-in receipts top up balances automatically. A quality hold raised in DAS QMS can even lock specific batches from being issued. No re-keying, no reconciliation spreadsheet, no "wait, how much of that did we use?"

Built for the iPad on the wall. The shop-floor interface has big buttons and big text; an operator picks their identity from a card with no email login, searches by part number, and issues, moves or counts in three taps. The office uses the desktop view for admin — both look at the same data.

How it works

Friday afternoon, 3 PM.

A job starts at 4 PM and the kit is ready in three taps — no walk to the store, no panic call to the supplier.

1

Find it on the iPad

The materials list says EN24T bar, AL6082 sheet and a few consumables. The operator opens DASFind in the metal store and scrolls the catalog — EN24T in bin 14, AL6082 in bin 22, fixturing brass in bin 17. No guessing, no walking.

2

Issue to the job

The operator picks the materials and hits Issue to job on each. Stock balances drop, the consumption is recorded against the job, and the kit is ready — all from the tablet on the wall.

3

The job runs unblocked

Back in the office, the DASBridge dashboard shows the job's materials panel turn green — all kits issued. Production runs unblocked, and the live costing already reflects what was used.
